Two weeks ago I was at the MoneyShow in San Francisco doing a presentation on the Evolution of Chart Analysis (you can see the presentation here ), and while I was there, I was privileged to have the opportunity to sit down with Kate Stalter for an interview.

With volume and volatility set to pick up now that the fall trading season is coming into full view, a renewed interest in the markets is likely as well. A quick look at the major indices reveals a market that was indeed a "sell in May and go away," as the major indices are sitting right at the highs from April as September begins. In general, the code words for traders remain "error to the long side" when trading these markets, and the best way to do that is to pick at individual entries that offer up lower-risk trade setups.

It wasn't all that long ago when the hottest of the hot IPOs made its debut in face-plant fashion. Yes, I am talking about Facebook (FB), the fanciful yarn that was touted as the IPO you had to get a piece of.

There are multiple ways to trade the markets. Many traders and investors alike are always intrigued or, shall I say, tempted to purchase a stock that is hugely depressed in share price relative to its peers or at least to the market.
