You are not the only one. I just looked through our indicators that make up the Market Internals page and to ask myself once more is this market likely to take a beating soon? The answer is probably. We don't make up the numbers, just report them. Regardless of whether the market takes a hard hit or not, going up is going to be a heck of a chore near term.

With that in mind, I'm keeping some short exposure on in the ETFs indexes and a little bit of longs in long term plays and the metals. It's really hard to take any kind of significant position given the continued thrashing and my high cash position reflects that notion.

Tomorrow is the employment number and we'll have to see how that is sliced and diced. For now, it seems as if this market is just waiting for something to fall off and give rise to a whooping but when and where it comes from continues to be the real guess. Just seems like it's coming near term.
